[Open RL] Mami's Birthday Party/Party for the Unfortunate Community

[Welcome, dear Community. The rented out piece of park is set up. There's a few decorations in the trees--yellow and orange, of course. A few balloons here and there.

There's also tables dressed up with fairly nice tablecloths lining the surrounding area. If eating isn't your style then you can sit and talk or participate in various games.

Mami, herself, will be wandering the party and greeting all the guests. Later on in the afternoon she'll open her gifts.]

[A fairly open space is near the front part of the park. A few signs point towards the party.

A small table is set up near the entrance. Any presents can be set there.]

[As promised, Diarmuid brought a carefully made cheesecake (his seventh attempt at doing so. A basic kitchen still mystified him at some points) topped with carefully sliced strawberries. Beside it was set a pale yellow box wrapped in an orange ribbon; inside was a collection of red and gold roses.]

[Mami is lingering around the entrance, greeting guests. She sees Diarmuid quickly enough.]

Ah--Lancer-san!

[It's Stanley! He's looking considerably happier now that he's had time to recover from That Mall. He set down a basket of produce and a bundle of flowers on the gift table.

Come poke him?]

Ah, flowers? I'm quite a fan of them.

[Artemis didn't have a whole lot of nice things, but she'd been sure to dress up a little for the party and put her cookies in a nice package.]

*Retasu got lectured for sneaking out of the hospital last time, but this time she was actually allowed out. She's brought a cake, even though, considering her condition, she must not have made this one. She wheels over to her, covered in bandages but missing the wheel-bag-thing this time.*

Midorikawa-san, I'm glad you're feeling well enough to be able to make it here.

[It's the thought that counts. Mami's going to take the cake and put it on the table for now.]

[ In case you didn't have enough cake, Natsume brought a small gateau st. honore from a local pastry shop. He doesn't really know Mami that well, but everyone likes cake and the fact that he managed to go in that really, really pink store without feeling completely unmanly should get him points for bringing a dessert to a party that probably already has cake.

Still.. he wanted to get her something, after all, and he didn't really know what else.. ]

[Mami loves cake, thankfully. She's greeting guests and sees Natsume.]

Ah, Natsume-san. I'm glad you made it.

[ Kyouko is way too tsun to give Mami a present herself, so she's rather glad about the table opportunity here.. besides, it's not easy for her to get presents, so she's only managed to buy the cheapest tea set she could find, so she's sort of embarassed..

Quickly trying to sneak away after leaving it there, yes. ]

[there's a small bouquet of flowers left addressed to you, but you won't find Oriko in person. She actually paid someone to act as a cross-world courier.

[Karen is recovering well from the injuries she received during the zombie event (off-screen since I'm terrible at actually tagging things apparently). If not for the cast on her lower leg forcing her to hobble around (GRACEFULLY) on crutches, you wouldn't know anything had happened to her.

She's also got a bag containing her gift for Mami. She's trying her best not to draw attention to it because dear lord she has no idea how to gift and she wants as few people as possible to know this probably terrible idea was hers.]

[Of course Mami would be looking for Karen. She practically runs up to her. She can't let her hobble around like that.]

Here, let me take that. [She's going to take the gift from Karen because surely it'll be easier to walk with crutches if one's hands weren't full. Also she tries to take a peek inside the bag.]

[Sayaka had agonized over the right kind of gift for Mami-san. What kinds of things would Mami-san like, or use? Ultimately, she had decided that tea was probably the best choice, and had purchased a few small tins of fine Chinese green teas. They were now held in a bag, secured by an overabundance of rainbow ribbons.

She set the bag on the appropriate table.]

I'm glad you could make it, Miki-san.

[She doesn't really care what Sayaka brought. The fact that she showed up, well. That was enough for her.]

[Yayoi is there with a wrapped present and a big big smile on her face. She's got a couple of visible bruises in her exposed skin but it wasn't so bad.]

Food

[There's cake and tea here. (Mami's made some using a hotplate and an outdoor electrical socket.) There's also more traditional party food, as well. You can pick up a plate and sit at one of the tables set up.]

[And over yonder was one ancient knight in modern clothes, sitting at a table drinking tea.]

[You know. Totally an everyday occurrence.]

[ Sit at the table? THAT'S FOR LOSERS. Kyouko's sitting on top of the table eating.. do you dare disturb the food monster. Do you. ]

Games

[There's a small selection of party games and sporting equipment on a table near the outskirts of the party. Anything you can think of can be there. (From horse shoes to kites to soccer balls.) This is a park so there's some space outside the area the party's taking place.

Mami might get annoyed if she finds someone kicking a soccer ball around inside the party but you can do so freely in the areas around the party. Or make a mess just to annoy the hostess.]

[Stanley's already flying one of the kites. He is really into this.]

Music

[A small stereo set to the side playing general music. There's no dance floor but the area's been cleared around it. If you'd like to dance a bit this is the place to do so.]

The Park

[If you get tired of the noise there's pathways all around the park. It's a fairly decent day so there's nice looking scenery around the walkways. There's benches to relax on, as well.]
